Jones - Lilly - 1874

Died of croup, at Thorntown, on Monday, Sept. 21, Lilly, daughter of Rev. W. A. and Mrs. M. Lee Jones, aged 3 years. A lovely child, born in affliction, brought up in suffering, barely escaping from the Chicago fire in 1871, she like a beautiful lily opened her young life with sweet words of affection, and has gone to bloom in a beautiful home with Jesus. The hearts of her parents are cleft with sorrow. Only the precious hope of meeting her in a “Sweet Bye and Bye,” brings a ray of consolation to their hearts.
